Nemi and the Mac

August 19th, 2006 by Zack Whittaker

Nemi – the feisty Goth girl with a hectic and quirky life… this cartoon strip runs daily in a free British newspaper that’s on buses and the London Underground. This one shows what most people go through when they try and get Mac support.

A pretty sweeping statement no doubt, but I wonder how MS’s support (or any other companies for that matter) would fair in an unbiast test. Heck recently I had to reinstall my XP machine when the browse for foler dialog in every app that brought it up kept freezing, no one could work out why. I can’t remember the last time I reinstalled my Linux or Mac machines when it wasn’t a straight OS upgrade.

For the record I’ve been using Windows since 3.1, and been programming for it professionally for about 7 years.

From my personal experience, MS support isn’t bad…the problem is they’re dumbed down like the apps MS bundles with Windows. They cant go deep and get technical.
