TCP/IP Fundamentals for Microsoft Windows

June 30th, 2006 by Patrick S

Microsoft have released a structured, introductory approach to the basic concepts and principles of the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) protocol suite, how the most important protocols function, and their basic configuration in the Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 and Windows® XP operating systems. This book is primarily a discussion of concepts and principles to lay a conceptual foundation for the TCP/IP protocol suite and provides an integrated discussion of both Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) and Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).

This 545 Page .pdf booklet has everything you will ever need to know about IPv4 and the new IPv6 Protocols.

I’ve downloaded a copy of that pdf and will read through it. Is there a resource though that highlights any/all differences in the TCP/IP implementations within 2003 and 2003 r2? I’ve a third part client/server app that runs on 2003 but seems to be having problems on 2003 r2 and I’m trying to narrow down the cause.
