MSFT Genuine Advantage trying to pull the wool over my eyes?

Ok so Microsoft have released this new Genuine Advantage patch that “Notifies you if your copy of Windows is not genuine. If your system is found to be a non-genuine, the tool will help you obtain a licensed copy of Windows.” I am fine with that and think its a good idea to combat piracy but what “really grinds my gears” is that the update hides itself-let me explain: The Genuine advantage patch is only 829kb so if you are on a fast connection you hardly notice the update shield appear while downloading this new patch in your task bar. After that update has completed downloading it hides itself. The only way you know that you have updates to install is when you are alerted when you shut down the computer.
Now like I said I have no trouble with this update but when MSFT try take advantage and secretly make you apply the patch is sneaky…I don’t know what I am installing. I have had this happen on 2 computers, am i not alone?  Â
Note: you cannot check the box to “not show this update again”

No, you’re not alone. This happens to me too, but I saw it, and I myself selected it to download, so I was aware what I’m installing.
To be sincere, I disabled automatic updates only because of this, because I want to every time what I’m downloading and then installing.
With respect,
