Text Holder Gadget For Vista Sidebar

If you use the copy and paste function frequently and need a quick place to store your bits and bytes, check this out.


Unpackage the folder inside to your desktop.
2. You should see “Clipboard.gadget” on your desktop.
3. Navigate to %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets using Windows Explorer
4. Drag and drop the Clipboard.gadget folder to the Gadgets folder you just opened.
5. Start the sidebar
6. Press the + button on the bottom of the sidebar.
7. Double click on “Text Holder”.

    Just out of curiosity — is this gadget a Microsoft gadget that for some reason wasn’t included in the CTP? Or an example (and probably one of the first ones.. ) of 3rd party sidebar integration?

    To be honest im not completely sure since, ive only just got Build 5208 installed tonight, but I found using the gadget in the sidebar is very useful!
