Windows Vista editions not correct according to

February 17th, 2006 by Zack Whittaker

Some news just in, that because of the stooopid European Union (I live in the UK so I’m allowed to say so :D) they haven’t quite finalised the editions that Microsoft will release of Windows Vista. As with XP, because of anti-trust laws and regulations and all that, they will have to release “N”o software versions, as they did with Windows XP Professional “N” that has “N”o Windows Media Player and other media playing devices installed, to give other companies a bit of a chance when it comes to software development.

We should have seen this one coming really, but Bink has announced this that the list isn’t final but we have an idea of what’s to come.

  • Windows Vista Starter Edition
  • Windows Vista Business
  • Windows Vista Business N
  • Windows Vista Home Basic
  • Windows Vista Home Basic N
  • Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Windows Vista Small Business
  • Windows Vista Ultimate
