Vista features that didn’t make the cut

October 10th, 2006 by Patrick S

Everyone knows that when Microsoft did the reset, a lot of features that were anticipated for Longhorn didn’t come back.  Furthermore, those who have been in the beta program for a long time know that there are even some features that were in one or more betas but that didn’t make it into the RC, like Advanced Query Pane and Lists.

So the guys over at the Windows Shell blog have written an article of features that didnt make it into the next build of Vista.
Some of the features that didnt make the cut were Mimesweeper, SafeDelete (Aww i wanted that one 😛 ) and the start menu action field.

Dissapointing to see some of the things we missed out on but now you see the tough choices the Vista team is up against.
