WinHEC 06: Windows Vista Beta 2 Available!

May 23rd, 2006 by Zack Whittaker

Yep it’s a public release… but however it’s only available to TechNet Plus and MSDN Subscribers (OS and above). Just check the new Windows Vista site on Microsoft – just by the background you know there’s something new 😉 It’ll be available to a wider range of customers (ie. the public) in the next few days/coming weeks, so start partitioning now!

Check out the product guide as well to see what you need and what to expect. Download here.

Update #1 (Zack): Technical tester can get it from Connect right now! Build number for Windows Vista Beta 2 is 5384.4

Update #2 (Dennis): Longhorn Server Beta 2 X86/X64 is available on Connect now too!

  8. Tony King Says:

Well, I downloaded it from MSDN. But, the “request product keys” option seems to be broken.

  9. Jabez Gan [MVP] Says:

I tested on my MSDN and it gave an error. Try contacting MSDN Customer Service on when it will be fixed. 🙂

  10. Jabez Gan [MVP] Says:

MSDN Customer service said that there’s a lot of people requesting the key thus the error.

Please try again tomorrow when there’s fewer people requestnig the key.
